In the Nintendo of America presentation it was announced that Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will be a launch game for the Wii U console and Activision were on hand to explain what new features to expect and what they have done to make the Wii U version stand out from the competition. Inside, we have a summary about what Call of Duty has.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 is the first CoD game set in the near future and as such they have near future weaponry to fire off. Players will be able to take control of Dragonfly drones to take the action into the skies and explore the map before moving into place. They can also take down enemies without risking loosing lives and restarting checkpoints. The view of the drone can be taken specifically to the GamePad if the player wishes so they can keep an eye on the action on the big screen. Alternatively the action can be kept on the big screen.

The same can be said for the game itself. If it is spread over two screens, players will have access to various maps and weapons on the touchscreen while the game unfolds on the TV. If you have a girlfriend/boyfriend who wants to watch Coronation Street, you can move all the action to the GamePad screen to free up the TV for other uses.

This will come in handy with the multiplayer as it gets rid of the need for splitscreen as one player can play on the GamePad. It also eliminates the possibility of players screen cheating. AI Bots have been included to practice and lean the multiplayer maps and hone players skills for gamers not confident in the world of Call Of Duty.

To top this off, Activision have announced that all downloadable content for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will come to Wii U. Not only that, the GamePad isn’t the only compatible controller with Call of Duty Black Ops 2. The Pro Controller and the Wii Remote Plus/Nunchuck combo to give even more options for gameplay.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 will be a Wii U launch title on 30th November and is available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 13th November.
