EA have today announced that they are to bring back the hugely popular Fifa Street series for the current generation of consoles. As with all of EA’s sport titles, they have got one of the worlds best footballers lined up to promote it. Some fellow called Messi. Whoever he is. But apparently he is popular according to wikipedia.

Our lack of knowing who footballers are may be a minus but from what EA are promising from this game is that we get a better look at players as they deal with the 5-aside street football as opposed to the 11 strong teams shown in Fifa 12. From the trailer we can also Messi holding onto a PlayStation 3 controller, which means even though EA haven’t formally announced the platforms Fifa Street will be available on in March, we can assume the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles are likely candidates.

Fifa Street launches in March 2012 and we expect it to be on all platforms.
