Kirby has been going strong for 20 years now. Maybe he has been overlooked by the big 3 – Mario, Zelda and Metroid series but for Nintendo he has always been a steady seller. Back in April Nintendo announced a collection for the Wii will be made available. Today the first details are formally announced.

Six titles ranging from the NES days up to the N64 will be included as well as Soundtrack and in depth booklet. The games are as follows:

Kirby’s Adventure
Kirby’s Dream Land
Kirby’s Dream Land 2
Kirby’s Dream Land 3
Kirby Super Star
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

The CD will feature music from the series right from its origins in 1992 up to the present day. It is worth noting however that the collection that has been outlined is the Japanese version – this may differ to the one we get in the UK.

Kirby’s Dream Collection is due for a September release on the Nintendo Wii.
