Minecraft on Xbox Live breaks one million sales
Whilst some developers have been increasingly vocal about their criticism of the Xbox Live platform in recent years, it would appear that a game with a cult following, or a good game, will sell. Regardless of price or what platform you sell it on.
No where is this more apparent than with Minecraft, which was ported to the Xbox 360 via the Xbox Live network last week and has managed to hit a million sales already.
A million. That’s twice the population of Hull. Or for the money watchers out there, £13,600,000 in turn over. Not forgetting all the gameplay and extras that this game is likely to push out.
This is significant as it shows that gamers are now breaking free of just consoles or just PCs and it’s also showing that the Xbox Live network still has merit and just needs some love.
