Nintendo have showcased Nintendo Land, a place much like Wii Sports and Wii Play sprinkled with a touch of Mario Party. Set in a massive theme park and with 12 mini-adventure lands to play through, Nintendo Land’s prime purpose is to get everyone used to the new controller.

Luigi’s Mansion, Legend of Zelda and even a Donkey Kong land will be shown to make the use of the Gamepad in a variety of single and multiplayer ways. Luigi’s Haunted Mansion for example can be used by 5 players, four will use the Wii Remote and look for a ghost – the fifth player with the GamePad. The ghost can use the screen on the controller to haunt players and they have to catch them with their flashlights.

Nintendo weren’t clear as to if the game will come with the console like Wii Sports but it will be a launch game for sure.
