PSN Welcome Back Details

Sony have revealed details of their “welcome back” packages for customers who were hit by the PSN outage in April. They have only one condition, users must have been registered on the PSN at the time the hack – 20th April 2011. Details are confirmed that non-members of the PlayStation Plus service will get 30 days absolutely free, for registered users this is 60 days. Music Unlimited users will also get an additional 30 days free usage.

As well as the month’s free service to PlayStation Plus, Sony are also giving users 2 free games out of a choice of 5 for the PS3 and 2 out of 4 for PSP users.

The choice of PS3 games are:

  • Little Big Planet
  • inFamous
  • Wipeout HD/Fury
  • Ratchet & Clank : Quest for Booty
  • Dead Nation

The PSP list consists of:

  • Little Big Planet
  • ModNation
  • Pursuit Force
  • Killzone Liberation

On top of free games and the free services, Sony have also stated that users of the PlayStation Home should expect something soon as they are working on a special welcome home package. The Welcome Back package will be available as soon as a normal full service is restored and the PlayStation Store is up and running.
