Silent Hill: Downpour Images

In another Silent Hill related piece of news today, Konami have also released more Hi-Res screens for the next instalment of the Silent Hill series: Downpour. Following the story of a convict called Murphy Pendleton, whose transport to a secure facility is interrupted by a crash on the edge of the town. Wandering into Silent Hill, Pendleton explores new areas unseen in the Silent Hill series, including the town’s defunct transport tunnels.

As well as the main story, Konami are ensuring that no expense is spared that the environment is top priority. For the first time in the series, 3D is being implemented to make sure that the maximum immersion is created. As well as the graphical side, the metal band Korn have been enlisted to create the game’s moody soundtrack.

The game will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 in Winter but no firm date has been set.
