Sleeping Dogs UK release date confirmed, with limited edition available

Sometimes a dog will sleep so close to a hot fire that if you leave him there for too long you can start to smell a strange burning smell. That normally means that the silly thing’s fur is starting to singe and it’s time to move the animal away from the warmth for it’s own good. Whilst this might not be at all relevant to Square Enix’s game announcement, the title’s very relevant.

Sleeping Dogs was today confirmed to have a 17 August 2012 release date for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It’s also going to have a limited edition pack, which is going to contain:

 ‘George St. Pierre (GSP)’ content:
·         GSP’s signature “flying punch”
·         Exclusive GSP outfit including T-shirts, headband and shorts
·         The GSP outfit unlocks the “flying punch” and increases grappling and throwing damage

 ‘Police Protection’ content:
·         Exclusive “High Speed” Mission
·         Exclusive HK Police SWAT Outfit
·         Exclusive assault rifle
·         Exclusive SWAT Police Vehicle

The limited edition pack is available only to those who preorder the game. There’s no exclusive as to who’s going to have a preorderable game, so check out all of the usual people.
