Doctor Who, or the game form at least, is to be making an appearance at the UK launch for PlayStation Vita. The Supermassive Games production features Matt Smith as the Doctor and Alex Kingston as River Song. It is to be called Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock. This is one of the first few games to be announced for the much anticipated Sony handheld to be released on 22nd February 2012.

The Eternity Clock will seek to immerse players in the Universe of Doctor Who whilst either playing as The Doctor himself or as River Song. The game consists of doing the usual travelling across time and space to save the world. BBC worldwide stated the reason for this merge with PlayStation is to present time travel to the masses. The game will be the first in a trilogy featuring all new storylines for Who-fans.
The high definition digital download will be ready for launch in February 2012 on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3.
