Toyota and DS team up…

The Nintendo DS is still huge in Japan, in fact, it’s still pretty huge everywhere and as such companies are still interested in developing for it. This is a bit of a strange development, but a car manufacturer have managed to make a little addon that makes the Nintendo DS work with the car’s in built navigation system.

Yes, Toyota have managed to have some sort of bluetooth cartridge inserted into it that will work with the Toyota Smart Navi system and allows for maps and destinations to be updated and for check the vehicles speed amongst other things.

It’s going to be released as the Kuruma de DS on the 1st June 2012 and will retail for ¥206,850 for the navigation unit and ¥7,329 for the cartridge.
