Fun for a Fiver – new GAME promotion

Good, cheap games. It’s something that we all want to see and we all want to buy. Afterall, finding a reasonably priced copy of the latest AAA title can be a lot of trouble and with the internet stealing the sales away from GameStation, Game and other specialist retailers. To combat this, GAME have announced a new promotion – Fun for a Fiver.

Running from today until the 29 February 2012, the GAME promotion allows us to purchase select titles with a guaranteed trade-in credit within two weeks of purchase. Which means that as long as the game is handed back in time, the spend will only be £5.

The first games announced for the promotion are Final Fantasy XIII-2, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games on the Nintendo 3DS, Soul Calibur V, The Darkness 2 and Tekken 3DS.

This promotion is almost like a rental scheme and may be a good way of getting around the shortages of brand new games when renting from LoveFilm or Netflix.
