Hothead studios have announced a new game based on the insanely popular book The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Details are very sparse at this time, however a website has been launched that details a game is coming for all major “primitive digital devices”. There is no word as of yet what these digital devices are, however Hothead are known for games such as Deathspank, Swarm and Precipice of Darkness – The game based on the Penny Arcade universe, all of which have seen releases on Xbox live and PlayStation Network.

If you head on over to the game’s website, you are greeted with the following message:

“Megadodo Publications welcomes you to this new edition of the Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” the brief blurb reads.

“We have updated The Guide’s content to provide compatibility with such quaint locations as Earth. It will soon be available for all the latest primitive devices on your planet including…”

In true Hitchhiker fashion, just as it is about to reveal which consoles the game will be playable on, a huge post-it note saying “gone for lunch, back in a bit” obstructs the rest of the message! Hopefully it will not be too long until we know who, what, where and why is going on with the title.
