EA and Bioware have released the next trailer for Mass Effect 3 which is due on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This will be the third installment of the BAFTA award winning trilogy. Following on from the previous events in Mass Effect 1 and 2, this concludes the story of Commander Shephard. The game will feature a multiplayer function, an improved cover system and more options on the battlefield. Kinect users can also use voice commands to control the party.
From this trailer it is clear to see Shephard battling Reapers to save civilisation (yet again) by uniting various galatic communities. Saved files from both previous Mass Effect games can be called upon to use in Mass Effect 3, determining how the game continues. Up to three players can be used in Multiplayer mode called ‘Galaxy at War’ this can also affect single player storyline continuance. By completing unique multiplayer missions, the ending scenes of the single player campaign can be perfected.
Mass Effect 3 will be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 9th March 2012.
