MW3 Overwatch Map Launching This Month

The next content drop for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s Elite Premium Members has been announced for Xbox LIVE. The next drop will be the Overwatch map, launching on February 21.

Overwatch is a new map set on top of a New York City skyscraper. Players shoot it out along two nearly symmetrical levels, with a central bridge and side routes that are open to attack. The map also lacks safety barriers, leaving nothing between players and a deadly 70 story drop to the ground.

Overwatch is the third content drop for Modern Warfare 3’s Content Season, which is set to include more than 20 pieces of new content releasing over a 9 month span. The next content drops four through six will be available in March for Elite Premium members and include Black Box, a new multiplayer map, and two new Spec Ops missions, Black Ice and Negotiator.

Overwatch will be available on February 21st.
