New screenshots and details on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots

Tom Clancy, he’s got a name that sounds like it’s straight from The Simpson’s; however, this assassin is anything but yellow and today Ubisoft released a few new screenshots to the world to show how un-yellow he is. Team Rainbow faces a very new and real threat from the True Patriots, who are a group of highly trained militas and are capitalising on the growing sense of frustration in America.

Or so the story is told, the American people feel that the world is corrupted by politicians and greedy corporate types who want to make their own lives better and make the majority suffer. The group led by a figurehead – Tredway, this grassroots terrorist organisation will stop at nothing to commit the coup d’état.

With a vast narrative, wide new threats, better squad management and extensive new multiplayer mode Rainbow 6 promises to deliver a lot more than the last Tom Clancy game, the screenshots look good at the very least.

Rainbow 6 will be available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, although the release date is yet to be confirmed.
