Clearly the work of someone with a chronic case of obsessive compulsive disorder, “catching them all” has been something that’s with us since the day of the Gameboy and dodgy MIDI music. Yet, it’s as endearing and popular as ever and actually managing to catch them all has become a step easier with the imminent release of PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond on the Nintendo Wii.

Take control of one of four Pokémon, Pikachu and the Unova starter Pokémon Oshawott, Snivy and Tepig, all with unique abilities that will help you in your quest. Each of these little creatures are unique and will help you move on in the PokéPark.

While searching for Pikachu and his pals’ friends, you will encounter Attractions, guarded by a Boss Pokémon. Once you have completed the Attraction, you will have to battle the Boss! You will have a choice of which of the four playable Pokémon you wish to use in the battle, but choose wisely as a particular Pokémon’s unique strengths may be best suited to the battle and would therefore give you a greater chance of success.

PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond is out on the Nintendo Wii on the 23 March 2012. You can preorder it here from GAME.
