Sonic CD Confirmed for Xbox Live Arcade

It’s today been revealed by Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, that we will be blasted back into the past to experience a videogame that is rarely ported and was not made widely available upon it’s launch. Yes, SEGA’s Sonic CD will be released on the Xbox Live Arcade.

However, the crucial question is when, the much forgotten game will be hitting our download queues. Unfortunately the current information is sketchy at best, the massive gaming blog Joystiq managed to get the following out of SEGA:

Additionally, it’s unsure whether or not this will be a true release from Sonic CD, or a port from the PC version of the title, which was much maligned for it’s poor transition from console to PC.
