Hello There!

Welcome to VGamingNews, and thank you for taking the time to check out our 2022/2023 page!

About Us

VGamingNews is a news and reviews site hosted right here in the UK, but with eyes on developers, games, and players from across the globe. The full story can be found in our about page but in summary we’re a dedicated team of three hobbyists who are passionate about games and commit ourselves to running the site and producing content alongside full time jobs. As our audience has grown, so has our team, and we’ve added a small group of part-time writers to help us increase our coverage, and we’re proud to have reviewed over 70 games in 2021 and are on track to smash that total in 2022!

Of course, Triple-A titles will always get everyone’s attention, but we’re equally excited about the blossoming indie games scene and some of the incredible games being released by smaller teams and solo devs. As a small team ourselves, we have a great admiration for indie teams; we truly appreciate the drive,  determination, and breadth of skill it takes to create an entire gaming experience from start to finish with just a few pairs of hands!

Levelling Up

The site relaunched with a vengeance in 2020 following a lengthy hiatus and the past year  has been a whirlwind of hard work and growth. We’ve entirely redesigned the site, and our traffic continues to grow month-by-month – and we’re off to a flying start for 2022 too, where we’ve already achieved 54% of our 2021 traffic in just three months! Our growth expands to our social media audiences as well, and you’ll often find us promoting our work, celebrating creators and generally chiming in on gaming topics on all the major channels – and we’re especially excited to be within touching distance of our first 1000 followers on Twitter!

Keeping It 5-Star

We appreciate the privilege of developers and publishers trusting us to play their games and share our thoughts, and we’re proud that we’ve produced quality content for each and every review key we’ve accepted.

A review code supplied to VGamingNews offers the guarantee of  considered and quality coverage.

We are productive members of the PressEngine community too, where we proudly sport a 5-Star rating for the amount of content we produce there. All of our reviews also appear on our OpenCritic page as well, amplifying our reach and your visibility.

What’s Next?

While we’re proud of all we’ve achieved so far, we’re not resting on our laurels, and have exciting plans to grow our brand and expand our coverage in 2022 and beyond. We have plans to bring more focus to the indie games community through dedicated spotlight articles and interviews, and we’re excited to help highlight the hard work of indie developers and some of the wonderful games being created by smaller teams. We are, of course, continuing to develop our relationships with the PR teams around the world and we've recently become early adopters on the Gametomb discovery site, which we're hoping will be another productive outlet for us.

We’re also in discussions with potential staff who can start to bring streaming and video content to the site, and we’re seeking more enthusiastic writers to join the team too. It’s our aim to provide even more breaking news stories and get as many quality reviews and hands on impressions to our audience as we can - if you’re interested in joining our growing team, please drop us an email – we’d be happy to chat and see if you’re a fit for our ongoing plans!
