inFAMOUS 2 has been finally dated for the UK. The game will launch on 10th June and will have a host of different versions all with different features. As well as the standard game there will be a Lenticular Special Edition, Good and Evil editions, and finally a Hero Edition. Read On

PSN Welcome Back Details

Sony have revealed details of their “welcome back” packages for customers who were hit by the PSN outage in April. They have only one condition, users must have been registered on the PSN at the time the hack – 20th April 2011. Details are confirmed that non-members of the PlayStation Plus service will get 30 days absolutely free, for registered users this is 60 days. Music Unlimited users will also get an additional 30 days free usage.

News of Warlords Reboot

Atari are bringing the classic 1989 RPG “Warlords” to the screens of 21st Century gamers on the Xbox360 Live & PlayStation Network services this summer. The game will support one to four players as they battle to defend their castles from an onslaught of minions and a nasty fire-breathing dragon. To do this players will have to use a massive shield which is maneuvered around the castle walls to deflect attacks from fireballs, while also strategically planning the next moves of their armies.  Read On

GAME Announces Store Closures After Profits Slump

Game has announced that it will be closing approximately 89 stores between now and Christmas 2013 to reduce to number of stores to 550. The GAME group chief executive Ian Shepherd said that this includes 15 that had already been closed since the start of 2011.

Throughout the last year GAME’s UK & Ireland store count decreased by 38 to 639 outlets. This comes after GAME  released figures stating that turnover fell from £1.772bn to £1.625bn, with overall sales falling 8.3 per cent year-on-year. UK & Ireland sales fell by 12.8 per cent and even online dropped by two per cent. Like-for-like UK sales dropped 9.8 per cent and overall sales by 6.7 per cent.

Important Update Regarding The PSN

Sony have updated the EU Blog regarding the PlayStation Network and what information may or may not have been accessed between April 17th-19th. Sony are still working hard to getting the servers back up and running and making sure they fix the problem entirely. We still don’t have any set timescale for when the service would be up and running but will be keeping you up to date with any further developments.
