Pro Evo Soccer 2012 Announced
Konami have today announced the next game in the popular PES series. The game is due out in the Autumn on all the home consoles, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. A PSP and oddly enough a PlayStation 2 version will be available as well. Konami have been working closely with fans of the series to provide the most real and entertaining entry in the series to date. Read On
Diamond Trust of London Announced
Zoo Entertainment today announced that it’s teamed up with the videogame developer Jason Roher to release Diamond Trust of London for the Nintendo DS. Diamond Trust of London takes place in a diamond mining company in Angola, prior to the restrictions put in place by the United Nation in regards to the sale of blood diamonds. To maintain the country’s hold on the diamond mines you must bribe, cut deals and spy on pretty much everyone.
Sony Unveils TWO PlayStation Tablets
Sony have today unveiled not one but TWO tablets to rival the iPad. They will both have the PlayStation name and run the Android operating system much like the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play phone. The first tablet – the Sony S1 will have a 9.4 inch touchscreen and will be the original tablet format.
New Silent Hill: Downpour Art & Screenshots
The moody suspense filled horror game is coming back to PlayStaion 3 and Xbox 360 consoles this Autumn. This time you assume the role of Murray Pendleton who starts off lost in the woods after his prison transport vehicle crashes near the town of Silent Hill. What ensues is down to the player as they explore the vast town. Read On
The Hidden Announced for the Nintendo 3DS
Majesco Entertainment have today announced a new videogame for the Nintendo 3DS is currently in development and is expected to be released in Autumn. The Hidden is a new augmented reality game, where the player’s 3DS is turned into an astral plane as you hunt through real world environments with the camera to search for the unseen and unknown.
As part of the G.E.I.S.T squad, you must work with the team to capture, track, shoot and eliminate evil spirits. However, it’s not as easy as aiming and pressing B, you’ll also need to use the circle pad, the gyroscope control and the camera to make sure that you can destroy and keep a log of these creatures from another world.
That’s an Autumn release planned, Majesco are stating October around Halloween; however, that’s likely to be the US release date and nothing’s been confirmed for the UK as of yet.
Skullgirls Coming Summer 2011
Skullgirls is a new 2D fighting game coming Summer 2011 to Playstation3 and Xbox 360. It is an action packed fighter mixed with High-definition visuals with art work created by Alex Ahad of Scott Pilgram and Lava Punch fame.
The game is set in Canopy Kingdom and pits the Skullgirls against a hoard of opponents in an attempt to control the Skull Heart, an artifact that can grant wishes but at a price. If the warrior possessing the Skull Heart is not pure then she will be turned into a monstrous enemy with extreme power.
The game will have online battles of course, however the game’s developer – Autumn games – promises that there will be no online lag and the game will play as smoothly online as offline even on slow internet connections. This will be done by using “Good Game, Peace Out” technology, which is developed by GroundStorm Studios.
