New screen shots have been released from Square-Enix today for Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie. This game is a remake of the SNES classic coming to the Nintendo DS for the first time outside of Japan. LEGO Ninjago: The Videogame was given a definite release date in the UK by Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment and TT Games. As of the 15th April 2011 in the UK, the next in the series of LEGO games to be released in recent years.

LEGO Ninjago: The Videogame continues from the highly successful LEGO Battles series and will have all enthralled. Learn the arts of Spinjitzu, a tornado-like spinning combat technique ad test your skills against characters in the storyline mode that allows players to be good or evil.

Duke Nukem: Critical Mass Gameplay Trailer

Duke Nukem Forever may still be a dream, a twinkle in the milkman’s eye; however, Duke Nukem: Critical Mass is not. Out exclusively on the Nintendo DS and the PSP on Friday, the game is exactly what you expect to come from a Duke Nukem game – unadulterated guns. Yes, guns and death. What else?

But if that’s not enough to make you rush out to the shops to buy it, there’s now an official gameplay and cutscene trailer available – just in case.

Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension

Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension is currently in development for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PlayStation 3 Disney have announced. Favourite characters such as, Phineas, Ferb, Agent P and a whole lot more appear as they set off on a quest to defeat Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

The PlayStation3 and Wii versions will travel through 25 levels using a range of weapons and items such as Ninja Gloves allowing Phineas or Ferb to stick to walls or firing orange soda to melt enemies. As you progress you can unlock additional playable characters. The PlayStation 3 features PlayStation Move compatible gameplay.

In the DS version, you can only play as Phineas, Ferb or Agent P. On the flip side there are 30 levels, five more than on the home consoles.

The Wii and PS3 games feature all the voices from the Disney cartoon and will be released from Summer 2011.

Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters Screens & Information

New screenshots and information have come from the up and coming movie tie of The Green Lantern entitled The Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters. The game will be out on the PlayStaion 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS & 3DS and Nintendo Wii June 10, just in time for the movie release.

If playing on the Xbox 360 or PS3, you will have the ability to team-up and battle the Manhunters in seamless drop-in/drop-out local co-op.

The Nintendo 3DS version of the game is designed specifically to take advantage of the 3D capabilities, while Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers have the option to play in Red and Blue style 3D and comes with the glasses that come with the game… If that is not your bag then you can also play the game in stereoscopic 3D when playing on any 3D HDTV while wearing glasses that are compatible with the television.

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions also have Ryan Reynolds (the Green Lantern in the feature film) lend his voice and likeness to the game. The screenshots can be found below.

Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters Dated for June

Warner Brothers today confirmed various details about their up and coming title, Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters. Pulling inspiration from the feature film due out later in the year, the game will roughly follow the film’s plot with an arsenal of ring constructs to perform. Players will use the Power Ring to build a wide range of weapons from green energy to destroy all of the Manhunters. A group of evil androids bent on destroying the Green Lantern Corps.

This title will be available on all of the major consoles, with the following developers Xbox 360 and PS3: Double Helix Games; Wii, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS: Griptonite Games. The 3DS version of the title will be designed specifically to use the stereoscopic 3D powers of the 3DS into account, with the other platforms playing to their strengths as well.

Warner Brother’s have also confirmed that all of the titles will be out on the 10th June 2011 with a PEGI rating of 12+.

Jewel Legends: Tree of Life Confirmed by Rising Star Games

Rising Star Games today confirmed that they will be releasing Jewel Legends: Tree of Life in the UK, on the Nintendo DS this summer.

Jewel Legends: Tree of Life builds on the success of Jewel Master: Cradle of Rome and takes place around the pure heart of the Tree of Life where time ceases to exist. Due to demons and bad creatures the Tree of Life starts to fade and it’s the gamer’s responsibility to rebuild this world by using different building materials, jewels and other valuable materials to switch out the symbols and build rows of three or more of the same time of material.

With over 100 levels, 8 bonuses and 32 trophies to collect, Jewel Master: Tree of Life is set to match it’s predecessor when it’s released in Summer this year.

Nintendo 3DS Launch – A True Success

Nintendo of Europe have now confirmed that the Nintendo 3DS is now the fastest selling Nintendo handheld device ever, selling over 303,000 units across all of Europe with over a third of those being sold in the United Kingdom – 113,000 units in just two days. That’s not far off from a console a second in the UK alone and across Europe it’s nearly 3 consoles for every second. This is a staggering figure for a system that is not only competing against itself, with Pokémon Black and White being released over the weekend, but also featuring new and challenging software.

Bejeweled Twist Confirmed For April

It was today announced that the latest line in the Bejeweled franchise for the Nintendo DS – Bejeweled Twist. Already available on the PC and various mobile platforms, the ridiculously addicting game will be made available across the UK on the 1st April 2011 – yes, April fool’s day.

With over 90 challenges across 14 planets, and five different modes of play including a two-player battle mode Bejeweled Twist is set to keep many a fan busy for hours to come.

So that’s a 1st April release on the Nintendo DS, not the 3DS.
