Fantastic News For PSN Users

The long suffering PlayStation Network is finally having the full service brought back online by Friday this week. This closes the long and drawn out restoration of the PSN which first went down on the 21st April. It has taken over a month for Sony to rebuild and secure the Network after a vicious attack left the log on and personal details of over 77 million world wide users at risk. Read On

Sega Europe today announced that the B movie classic, turned videogame, The House of the Dead is going to be making it’s first leap into high definition with Sega’s The House of the Dead: OVERKILL – Extended Cut. This revised edition of the game will be made available on the PlayStation Move only.

Zoo Entertainment today revealed a new trailer for their up and coming racing game, Fireburst. With more than 15 different tracks, the scorching trailer spotlights six of the most dynamic courses featured in the game are waterfalls, airfields, hightower mountains, refinery, giant bridge and docks.

Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy Announced!

Hothead studios have announced a new game based on the insanely popular book The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Details are very sparse at this time, however a website has been launched that details a game is coming for all major “primitive digital devices”. There is no word as of yet what these digital devices are, however Hothead are known for games such as Deathspank, Swarm and Precipice of Darkness – The game based on the Penny Arcade universe, all of which have seen releases on Xbox live and PlayStation Network.

Warlords Character Art Released

Atari Europe today released the concept art from it’s up and coming game, Warlords, which is a remake of an Atari 2600 title and will make it’s début on the Xbox Live and PlayStation Network in the summer. Warlords will also make it’s début at the MCM Expo this weekend where Atari will be showcasing this title and Dungeons and Dragons Daggerdale at the Atari stand for all to see.

505 Games and Supersonic today revealed their first trailer for Wrecked: Revenge Revisited, which is due to be released on the Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. This racing title is based on the original Wrecked from the days of the Dreamcast but has been updated to use the best of the XBL and PSN powers and is just as fast paced and actioned packed as it was a decade ago.

New Battlefield 3 Artwork

Electronic Arts today released some new artwork for their up and coming title, Battlefield 3. The up and coming game is due to be released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; however, there is currently no firm release date. The artwork released is the PC boxart and a screenshot of what looks like a disused airstrip.

inFamous 2 Release Details

inFAMOUS 2 has been finally dated for the UK. The game will launch on 10th June and will have a host of different versions all with different features. As well as the standard game there will be a Lenticular Special Edition, Good and Evil editions, and finally a Hero Edition. Read On

PSN Welcome Back Details

Sony have revealed details of their “welcome back” packages for customers who were hit by the PSN outage in April. They have only one condition, users must have been registered on the PSN at the time the hack – 20th April 2011. Details are confirmed that non-members of the PlayStation Plus service will get 30 days absolutely free, for registered users this is 60 days. Music Unlimited users will also get an additional 30 days free usage.
