Next Generation Console Fight Hotting UP!

The next generation console war is already underway. Next month we see the reveal of Nintendo’s project Café, or as we like to call it, the NES HD. Rumours are flooding the internet that development kits for Mircosoft’s NextBox are already with the big gun developers like EA and Rockstar. Details of the new installment of the Call of Duty franchise has emerged at last. Modern Warfare 3 will pick up straight after the cliffhanger of an ending in MW2. inFAMOUS 2 has been finally dated for the UK. The game will launch on 10th June and will have a host of different versions all with different features. As well as the standard game there will be a Lenticular Special Edition, Good and Evil editions, and finally a Hero Edition. Read On

Dead Island Screenshots

The zombie slasher, Dead Island, today released 5 new screenshots showing off some of the more exotic locations for this new game, which is for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 and due out in the coming months.

Set in an open world tropical island, hordes of different festering zombies await players around every corner while they embark on a variety of thrilling missions through the holiday resort. With firearms and ammunition being scarce the player must rely on utilising found items as weapons for self-defence and fight off zombie hordes in intense melee combat. A diverse range of items can be collected and will later serve to transform the player’s ordinary makeshift weapons into serious instruments of destruction. Read On

EyePet & Friends Revealed! First Screens Here!

Sony have announced today that EyePet & Friends is coming to the PS3 this year.  EyePet is a virtual animal who comes alive in your living room using the PlayStation Move motion controller & the PlayStationEye camera.  In this brand new installment two pets can be raised at the same time for double fun!

EyePets are cheeky and fun; always ready to play and often getting into a mischief and won’t leave any “surprises”. Using two Move controllers and the PlayStation camera, two EyePets can play together and with each player on the same screen.

New screenshots for Alice:Madness returns have surfaced today and from the looks of them, players will be in for a twisted treat. Eleven years ago a horrific fire took Alice’s family from her and left her terribly burned—and her mind terribly scarred. Afterwards she was confined to Rutledge Asylum, struggling to come to terms with her demons by slipping into her fantasy world of Wonderland. Drums Challenge Trailer

Drums Challenge is coming soon to the PlayStation as Minis, MusiGames and Sanuk Games have announced today. The best selling game on the iOS will be available for the PS3 and PSP.

The game features different styles of drumming such as Jazz, Blues, Funk, Country, Metal, Punk Rock, Latin and Reggae as the player competes in 25 drum battles progressing in difficulty with Gold, Silver or Bronze medals to collect for each battle. To go with the different styles, there are also 8 different drum kits to beat and a freestyle drum kit which allows the player to drum to their own beat.

The price will be set at the £1.74 and the trailer can be found below.

 

Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters Screens & Information

New screenshots and information have come from the up and coming movie tie of The Green Lantern entitled The Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters. The game will be out on the PlayStaion 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS & 3DS and Nintendo Wii June 10, just in time for the movie release.

If playing on the Xbox 360 or PS3, you will have the ability to team-up and battle the Manhunters in seamless drop-in/drop-out local co-op.

The Nintendo 3DS version of the game is designed specifically to take advantage of the 3D capabilities, while Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers have the option to play in Red and Blue style 3D and comes with the glasses that come with the game… If that is not your bag then you can also play the game in stereoscopic 3D when playing on any 3D HDTV while wearing glasses that are compatible with the television.

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions also have Ryan Reynolds (the Green Lantern in the feature film) lend his voice and likeness to the game. The screenshots can be found below.
