Skullgirls Coming Summer 2011

5 April, 2011 by

Skullgirls is a new 2D fighting game coming Summer 2011 to Playstation3 and Xbox 360. It is an action packed fighter mixed with High-definition visuals with art work created by Alex Ahad of Scott Pilgram and Lava Punch fame.

The game is set in Canopy Kingdom and pits the Skullgirls against a hoard of opponents in an attempt to control the Skull Heart, an artifact that can grant wishes but at a price. If the warrior possessing the Skull Heart is not pure then she will be turned into a monstrous enemy with extreme power.

The game will have online battles of course, however the game’s developer – Autumn games – promises that there will be no online lag and the game will play as smoothly online as offline even on slow internet connections. This will be done by using “Good Game, Peace Out” technology, which is developed by GroundStorm Studios.

There are screenshots of the game below.
