Nintendo go crazy with announcements

Mario has made yet another appearance in a new Nintendo announcement, he will star in New Super Mario Bros. 2 this summer.

New Super Mario Bros.will get a sequel on the DS and Wii too. The new visuals have been released in various screenshots and will still incorporate the classic 2D jumping motion.

The Raccoon suit will also make an appearance in Mario’s wardrobe.

This is just the latest in a long line of Nintendo announcements to come from the company. The latest Nintendo Direct streaming conference also revealed two new Pokemon 3DS apps, including an update for the Pokedex application which shall include more breeds.

Pokemon will also get a touch of Augmented Reality, in the form of a shooter. It will accompany the newly announced Pokemon Black and White 2 so Pokemon can be transferred from one device to another. Both will be available in the 3DS eShop.

Patches will also be included in the new 3DS Firmware update in Europe on 25th April. Mario Kart 7 will be the first to be made glitch-free, including the Wuhu Island Track glitch.

Wii rhythm game Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise will be released in the UK on 6th July and 3DS Heroes of Ruin will make an appearance on 15th June. DLC will assist this title every day.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is also confirmed for 20th July along with new Kid Icarus AR cards for Europe.

Kirby is also getting a new outing in the form of a 20th Anniversary title.

The New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be released for the Nintendo 3DS in August.
