Metro: Last Light Announced
THQ has today announced the sequel to the popular Metro: 2033 entitled Metro: Last Light. This game is due out on Xbox and PS3 in 2012.Set in the haunting, desolate ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, one of the most richly detailed and beautifully realised gaming worlds of modern times. Tea Parties at Download – Only with Alice
American McGee’s Alice was a cult classic on the PC back 10 odd years ago and with the sequel, which will be on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 just around the corner – Alice: Madness Returns, Electronic Arts are going all out in true Alice style and throwing a tea party at Download Festival this year.
Resistance 3 Release Date Confirmed
Sequel to the highly popular alien infested Resistance 2 will launch on 9th September this year Sony have revealed today. The game will be launched with two special editions and pre-order bonuses as seems to be the norm with major game launches. Bonuses will be character skins, in-game weapons, a Chimera tooth necklace and a multiplayer booster that lets them start at level 5.
Assassin’s Creed Revelations Announced
Ubisoft have today confirmed that the hit franchise – Assassin’s Creed is to get a new sequel – Assassin’s Creed Revelations, which is the fourth title to be developed in this hit series. Assassin’s Creed Revelations will be released on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 in November this year and will be available to play and enjoy at this year’s E3 convention in June.
Mass Effect 3 Screenshots
Today, EA and BioWare have released a couple of screenshots to the highly anticipated sequel of last year’s Mass Effect 2. The game won countless awards including the BAFTA for Game of The Year. Mass Effect 3 will see Shepard return once again to save the universe and more importantly Earth from evil alien forces in what promises to be an exciting edition to the RPG series.
Wii Play: Motion News
Wii Play: Motion is the sequel to the smash hit Wii Play which was released as a launch game back in 2006. The game itself will compromise of 12 minigames making full use of the Wii Motion Plus controller. As with the previous installment this will come bundled with the game. The game will support up to 4 players but they must have either a Wii Remote Plus or the Motion Plus Add-on. Read On
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II Info & Screens
The sequel to the popular 2D fighting game BlazBlue: Coninuum Shift is coming to the PSP & Nintendo 3DS this May. The 21st to be exact. The game features all the original characters from the previous installment plus 3 all new characters available through downloadable content. Read On
Alice: Madness Returns Screens
New screenshots for Alice:Madness returns have surfaced today and from the looks of them, players will be in for a twisted treat. Eleven years ago a horrific fire took Alice’s family from her and left her terribly burned—and her mind terribly scarred. Afterwards she was confined to Rutledge Asylum, struggling to come to terms with her demons by slipping into her fantasy world of Wonderland. Now, after ten years, she has finally secured her release–yet she still bears the heavy psychological burden of that tragic event.
Battlefield 3 Screens
Coupled with today’s news of a new Battlefield 3 trailer, EA have also released PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360 in-game screenshots. As an added bonus we have also been treated with story board and animation shots. From what can be seen, this game is graphically looking very sharp.
In Battlefield 3, players become the U.S. Marines in a first person shooting game. Missions will span across diverse locations including Paris, Tehran and New York. As bullets whiz by, as walls crumble, as explosions force players to the ground, the battlefield becomes a more terrifying part of the game as ever before!
Due out on the 2nd November, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the game is a direct sequel to Battlefield 2 and is the twelfth game in the franchise.
Battlefield 3 Trailer Unveiled at MCV Awards
When some of the leading faces in the industry get together, it’s always a time to try and outshine each other and the MCV Awards yesterday is no different. Although the vast majority of attendees are actually developers, EA decided that it was high time to show them and by extension the rest of the world, a little trailer from their up and coming title: Battlefield 3.
Due out on the 2nd November, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the game is a direct sequel to Battlefield 2 and is the twelfth game in the franchise. The 2.34 minute trailer can be seen below:
