Gears of War Judgment given a release date

Microsoft have given the release date of their prequel to one of their best selling game series on the Xbox 360. Gears of War Judgment has been give the release of 19th March 2013. The timing of this couldn’t be better as we already have a wealth of titles on the list for a release in the first three months of the year.

Dead Space 3, Tomb Raider and GTAV are all poised to be released around the same time as Judgment. Microsoft will be ploughing a lot of money in advertising this game as it promises to lay the foundations to the triliogy we have been playing for 6 years.

The game follows closely the events of “Emergence Day” where the Locusts first broke through the surface and began the onslaught of Earth. This third person shooting game will be unlike the previous trilogy as the focus will be more on teamwork than before.

Unlike the Halo franchise, Gears of War Judgment will be produced by the series creators Epic Games, however they will be taking more of a back seat as People Can Fly studios will be handling the majority of the work.

We shall see what they can come up with when Gears of War Judgment is released on 19th March 2013.
