Shenmue HD already finished?

Well according to Gamerzines, not only are Shenmue 1 & 2 HD remakes done, they have been finished for quite sometime. For those who are unfamiliar with the games, Shenmue is a stunning game from SEGA that makes full use of the Dreamcast’s visual capabilities and follows the story of Ryo Hazuki, on a quest of revenge for the death of his father.

The source that gave the information to Gamerzines has ties with SEGA and says that Shenmue HD is real and has been finished for well over a year. As has Shenmue 2 HD. The delay has been put down to when or even if Shenmue 3 will become a possibility.

We don’t tend to post anonymous post stories but with SEGA releasing updates for Jet Set Radio and HD ports appearing left, right and centre these days, then maybe there is some truth behind these reports. After all, Shenmue is on of SEGA’s most requested games for a remake.
