Bethesda presents Dishonored

The mysterious Tweet that we reported on yesterday is not as we thought, the anticipated Skyrim Downloadable content. In fact, it is a game set in a different world altogether reminding us all that they are a studio that makes games – plural. Dishonored, which has been in development for some time, has been given its first trailer.

Set in a world inspired by the Steampunk style, the game follows a bodyguard for the beloved Empress. However our character has been framed for her murder. Accepting a deal from a mysterious “dark force” our once bodyguard becomes an assassin with abilities of the supernatural variety to exact revenge on the people who set him up. This assassin quickly becomes recognised by his metal mask and the path of bodies he leaves.

Dishonored is a first person stealth game and has been in development for a while now, it’s first announcement was back in August. However with all the fanfare regarding Skyrim, it was quickly forgotten. Now, this first person stealth game is the next focus for the studio. Dishonored is due to be with us by the end of the year on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
