Yes, following on from the Nintendo DSi XL, Nintendo are going to be releasing the Nintendo 3DS XL on the new system on the 28 July 2012, which is just around the corner.
The 3DS XL has a 90% larger screen, reportedly better screen focus, rounded edges and an improved battery so it will last around 6-10 hours for the average gamer. Not forgetting the choice of three colours, but none are as good as the 25th Anniversary Ocarina of Time one though.
However, it’s not all good news, whilst the Americans will get a docking station and charger included as part of their system, Japanese and European gamers will have to purchase these extra. So if you actually want to play your 3DS XL, you need to buy a charger separately. The good thing is, unlike Apple, Nintendo haven’t changed the port for power so if you’ve already got a 3DS, the chargers will still work.
