The Last of Us – Special Editions announced

Sony and Naughty Dog’s up and coming survival horror is creeping ever closer and while it is taking an eternity to get to the 7th May release date. However, to keep us going Sony have released information the special editions of the game. Cunningly they are named after the two protagonists – Joel and Ellie, and will be presented in a steelbook and canvas wrap with the face of the character related to the chosen edition.

Both feature a DuelShock controller skin and LittleBig Planet content based on which ever pack you buy. There is also a mini art book and a mini comic and extra content in the Sights and Sounds pack; which features a dynamic dashboard theme, two avatars and a digital download of the game’s sound track.

Finally, a survival pack will be included with the game which gives extra costumes and multiplayer bonuses and an extra pot of money to start the game with.

The Ellie edition is exclusive to Game, where as the Joel pack will be available from Amazon and independent retailers. The Last of Us will release on 7th May exclusively for PlayStation 3.
