Skylanders comes with 3 action figures of the playable characters – including Spyro himself. Players place these characters on the Portal of Power, they then spring to life on screen! Each character has a primary and secondary attack and experience points are awarded for each monster that is defeated.
Action figures are also compatible with other “portals,” which means figures purchased with the Wii version will work on the PS3 or Xbox games. As mentioned the game comes with 3 figures and the other 29 can be purchased separately.
The game will be available on all three home consoles and the 3DS in September for North America. It is unknown when it will be released in the UK but have a look at the screenshots and trailer:
