Celebrating the Like a Dragon & Yakuza Series’ 20th Anniversary, SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have launched PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, and Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut. The games are available on consoles today, with the PC versions following at the end of the week.

The news of these updates follows in the footsteps of the Nintendo Switch 2 versions of Yakuza Kiwami 1 and Kiwami 2 last month. All three games include performance enhancements, along with introducing French, Italian, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian text support.

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut adds in new cutscenes, an online co-operative ‘Red Light Raid’ mode, and the theme song “Bubble”, a tune previously missing from the original Western release.

Digital owners of the original PS4, Xbox One, or Steam versions of any of the three adventures can upgrade for around £15. However, there’s a significant discount on both Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 until 8th December 2025 at 16:59 GMT.

Unfortunately, there are a few caveats to the console re-releases. The discount will not be available to those who own physical copies or to those who’ve claimed the games through PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass. Save data can’t be carried over for any of the games. If you’re partway through a run, then you’ll have to start again if you upgrade.

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 are out now for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will release on PC on 11th December.
