The behemoth that is Pop Cap’s ridiculously addictive game – Bejeweled – is having it’s third instalment to the major consoles this year. This marks the first time the series has seen a simultaneous console release. Since the game was launched just over 10 years ago, the series has been played by an estimated half a billion people all over the world across the various platforms that it has been tailored too.
Bejeweled 3 has a number of improvements to the previous entries to the series, now more than 5 linked gems will give more powerful combos than seen before. There will also be different modes of play such as classic and timed. The game will appear on the PSN, Xbox Live Market Place and Nintendo DS and is scheduelled for a release in the last quarter of 2011.
