SEGA have today lifted the lid on the Special Stages Sonic will be running through in the latest, highly anticipated Sonic Generations. At least, on the 3DS version. In the screens shows Sonic running through the stage a la Sonic 2. This time, instead of collecting rings it appears that the blue hedgehog will be popping balloons to catch the emerald.
The levels have been designed to show off the Nintendo 3DS’s spectacular 3D display. No news on if SEGA have created these special stages specifically for the 3DS or whether they will appear on the home console versions along side the handheld game. Sonic Generations is due out in November.
