Not One But THREE Trailers For FF XIII-2

Square Enix have released two separate trailers (one for the Xbox 360 and one for the PS3) for the next instalment of the Final Fantasy series. The videos for Final Fantasy XIII-2 give glimpses into the story and what we will be playing on 3rd Feburary 2012. The game, set a few years after the events in Final Fantasy XIII sees Serah searching for Lightening.

The Xbox video shows Lightening challenged by a unknown challenger and explain why Noel is helping Serah with her quest. Attempting take over the world, the challenger proceeds to turn citizens into enemies, leaving Serah and Noel to set off on an epic quest to save the world.

The PS3 footage concentrates more on Serah and her never ending search for Lightening. She is then tricked by the purple haired imposter who poses as Lightening. Noel steps in to save her and he introduces her to the time capsule where Noel is certain Lightening is waiting for them both.

Both trailers have been combined with full Japanese epic music for those who want a full story in one easy, compact trailer. Graphically, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is raising the standard in pushing the graphical capabilities of the Xbox 360 & PS3 to the maximum. We shall see how well the game will cut from Cinematic sequences to gameplay on 6th February.
