Lack of multiplayer functions on Mass Effect 3

The developers behind one of the Xbox 360, Mass Effect, have today confirmed that the multiplayer options available for their up and coming space shooter – Mass Effect 3, will be very limited. Whilst there will be no problems playing a co-op game with your friend who lives in the other side of the world, your buddy who’s come around to visit won’t be so lucky.

Yes, a local co-op mode will not be present in Mass Effect 3, this was confirmed in a meeting with producer Jesse Houston on BioWare’s company blog recently. Although, they did confirm that it’s something they are considering, but it’s just not on the list of things right now…

it is definitely on the table as something we might add

However, it’s likely that this will either be added on as a downloadable extra, or patched into the game post release date as it’s not something that everyone craves in this new internet age.
