Final Fantasy XIII-2 New Images

Square-Enix have been very busy promoting Final Fantasy XIII-2 which is due for release next February on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. They have today released a massive 28 screenshots depicting Chocobos, Noel, Serah as well as the beautiful scenery we will be exploring in just a few months time.

This particular image caught our attention. The name of this creature is “Cait Sith”. As fans of Final Fantasy will tell you, this is the same name of a character from Final Fantasy VII. It seems Square-Enix have either put this in as reference to the past game or are teasing fans who desperately want FF-VII remade for the HD age.

After once again saying that a remake of Final Fantasy VII will take too long, these images seem to be little more than salt in the wound of the people who want an updated FF-VII. Final Fantasy XIII-2 however is coming soon, 3rd February to be exact.
