Wildkeepers Rising a New Take on the Bullet Heaven Genre is Coming to PC

A new challenger in the “Bullet Heaven” genre of games has emerged. Wildkeepers Rising: Echoes of the Guardians has been announced by the Canadian Indie developer Lioncode Games and is coming soon to Steam. The studio has been around since 2020 and has previously produced the S-RPG Mech Armada.

Odd Bug Studio’s follow up to Tails of Iron is coming out in 2025. Titled Tales of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, the game throws players back into a world of rodents, frogs and bats as they battle for survival against a harsh winter. The original 2D adventure game was released in 2021 and praised for its tough combat and excellent visual style, both of which seem to be firmly in tact with the sequel.
