GOG are offering gamers a free copy of the original The Witcher, when you download their Galaxy 2.0 client. It sounds like an excuse to download their software but it’s actually pretty handy as it allows you to combine your PC game library from Steam, UPlay & Epic Games Store in one handy place. It also has support for your Xbox & PlayStation games, although they can’t be played.

Plus the games sold through GOG are DRM free.

To get a copy of The Witcher Enhanced Edition, head to this page, install the client, set up or log into your account and search for the game and add it to your library. Simple as that. The game is yours for free.

You might be wondering why The Witcher and if this is legit. GOG is a subsidiary of CD PROJEKT group, as are the developers of The Witcher series. Even if you just download the game and delete GOG Galaxy afterwards, you have a free game! Except you’ll be missing out on the great organisation of your games. It’s almost a one-stop shop to see how bad your backlog is!
