Following on from the successful Crysis Remaster last year, Crytek today announced that the Crysis Remastered Trilogy, an all-in-one collection featuring remasters of the single-player campaigns from CrysisCrysis 2, and Crysis 3, will be releasing in October for previous and next gen consoles. If you’ve already jumped into the original, fear not as Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered will also be individually available.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy will appear across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One from 15th October. They’ll feature up to a 4K resolution and targets 60 frames per second game play for the next generation consoles and a dynamic resolution & frame rate for the aging consoles.

For PC players, Ray Tracing has been added as well being able to lock the frame rate or play on the max settings.

To show off the upgrades between the PS3 & Xbox 360 versions, Crytek have prepared two comparison videos, both showing off different parts of the game.

The first is a look at Xbox 360 versions of the game compared to Xbox Series X:

Next up we have the PS3 versions being compared to what the PS5 can do:

These comparison videos do show a massive jump in just two console cycles, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the full set. Hopefully these remasters are going towards funding a new entry into the series.

The trilogy itself will release digitally and physically (for consoles) on 15th October for around £45. If you wanted to add Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered to your collection, this will be around £25 per game, so it’s best just to pick up the trilogy even if you own the first game.

We’ve asked about potential discounts & next gen upgrades for the first game and are waiting to hear back.

UPDATE 03/09/2021

We’ve heard back from Crytek and all three games include next gen upgrades for PlayStation & Xbox players.

Switch owners aren’t being left in the dark either as they’ll have access to the additional remasters, but he physical edition is coming at a later date.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy will be released on 15th October across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4 & Xbox One.
