Koei Tecmo along with developer Omega Force have released a demo of their upcoming 1 vs 1000 tactical-action game is now available across all platforms, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PS4 & Xbox One. Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires looks set to add strategic war elements to the all out action the series is known for as we take on the biggest enemy so far… Ancient China.

The Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires demo features the all-new evolved castle sieges, including both invasion battles and defence. Fight to defend your own army’s fortress or storm the enemy’s are the main options in what is set to be a challenging tutorial. Each siege scenario can be played repeatedly so that best strategies can be used to overpower and outthink opponents when the full game releases on 15th February.

In addition to this, the game’s in-depth edit mode, enables the creation of unique officers before taking sending them off into battle. These newly created characters can then be transferred to the full game as long the same platform is used of course.

The full release of the game will include a ‘robust political system’ allowing players to not only fight for the land, but also negotiate and prevent further bloodshed.

It was recently announced that a special Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires 20th Anniversary BOX version of the game will be exclusively available through the KOEI TECMO Europe Online Store. Priced at £119.99, this edition comes as the series celebrates it’s 20th anniversary and contains a character artbook, a pack of 94 character cards with a display stand, the game’s soundtrack, and a copy of Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires, all packaged into a Dynasty Warriors themed collector’s box.

Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires is currently scheduled for a 15th February 2022 launch across Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, PC, PlayStation 4, and digitally on PlayStation 5, although do note that the PS4 version includes a cross-gen upgrade.
