Episode Metal set as Sonic 4 Add on

Those eagle eyed viewers of our last Sonic 4: Episode 2 post will have noticed that at the end of the trailer, continued footage showed a Metal Sonic poster. After a little digging around, we have found that this is in fact a new episode titled “Episode Metal.”

What we know so far is that the episode will be made available for those who own both Episode One and Two for free. It will provide four new levels that Metal Sonic can play through once plpayers have both games on either their Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.

What is unclear is if this will be made available when Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 launches.
