Match Day is a new feature incorporated into the FIFA 13 world. EA have told the Gamescom audience today that when the top level leagues are in play, all of the information will be sent directly to the game. This will also update player statistics through out the next season of football.

What this means is that if players pick up injuries in the real world, this will be reflected in the game. All the headlines, transfers and goings on through out the season will effect how you play your game through out the year.

“This is a huge technological innovation that will make every match feel like a seamless extension of the headlines ripped from the football pages around the world,” said David Rutter, Executive Producer of FIFA 13. “There is nothing bigger in the world of sports than match day. It brings together the emotions, passion and drama of the world’s sport for players, pundits, managers and fans alike. We are going to capture that experience and bring it to life in-game.”

A Demo of FIFA 13 including Match day will launch on the Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 from 11th September
