SEGA’s Football Manager series has been absent on Microsoft’s system for about 10 years. Many thought the ball was taken by the grumpy next door neighbour and wouldn’t be given back. Today, is the day that the ball is thrown back over the fence and gamers see a return of the series with Football Manager 2021 Xbox Edition. Back of the net.

Releasing on *deep breath* Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S & Xbox Series X as well as PC (Through the Xbox & Microsoft Windows Stores), Football Manager 2021 sees the return of the popular simulator. Here’s a handy infographic explaining the differences between the various formats.

Football Manager 2021 Xbox Edition makes use of Microsoft’s Play Anywhere functionality. Buying the game once will allow you to manage your team from anywhere you’re signed in. From the Xbox Series X|S on your big TV to the bedroom where your Xbox One has been relegated too.

The game itself is modelled across the “Touch” editions of the game which has seen releases on the Nintendo Switch and Mobile Platforms. This allows players speedier playmaking decisions and streamlines the seasons by only focussing on the essentials. Handy for managers who don’t have a lot of time, but if you want you can always use the spectator mode to watch those games you’ve been meticulously planning.

If you love your games full of stats, figures and tactical formations, Football Manager 2021 Xbox Edition is for you!
