The Elder Scrolls Online has officially been announced stretching from Tamriel, to Elsweyr to Skyrim.

Zenimax Online Studios have been developing the new MMO which will enable players to explore the world of the Elder Scrolls on a whole new scale and with interaction from other online players.

A brand new chapter will also be unveiled in the new game, highlighting the Elder Scrolls history set a millennium before Skyrim. The daedric prince Molag Bal will be trying to drag Tamriel into his demonic realm.

“It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years,” exclaimed Marr Firor, game director and MMO veteran. “The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.”

PvP will also feature against different factions in the game which pits player against player in the open-world adventure in Cyrodiil.

Later today, a brief trailer and screenshot will be released.

The Elder Scrolls Online is scheduled to come out in 2013 for both PC and Macintosh (ahem).
