At gamescom 2021, Sony have provided a couple of updates about Guerrilla Games open world series. Horizon Forbidden West has been given a release date for both PlayStation 5 & PlayStation 4 consoles and the original Horizon Zero Dawn has a semi-upgrade for PlayStation 5 players.

We won’t keep you in suspense for long as there was a detailed look into how Horizon Forbidden West (above) was shaping up a few months ago. The sequel has been given a release date of 18th February 2022 for both PlayStation 5 and PS4 players. Not long to wait until we can dive into the long awaited sequel and meet up with Aloy once again.

To tide players over, a 60FPS patch for Horizon Zero Dawn has just launched for players playing on PlayStation 5. This isn’t a PS5 upgrade, it’s just the game has been tweaked slightly to utilise more of the system’s power to unlock the higher frame rate. I think it’s time I dove back into the game ahead of February’s launch.
