Gamescom 2021 Indie Booth Presents: Lab Rat

Lab Rat is exactly as it sounds, you’ve somehow found yourself in a laboratory controlled by an AI program who has set about creating puzzles for you to solve. To make things easier, the machine has learned satirical humour to help you through the maze. Developed by Chump Squad, Lab Rat is coming to Steam and Xbox in 2022.

As you’re taken through 130 odd puzzles, the AI will keep you motivated as she analyses your performance against some unspecified metrics. Of course, it’s not just you vs AI, you’ll be able to see how you compare against other players by viewing in-game puzzle statistics that are updated in real-time with real player data.

From the trailer and all of the information we’ve seen on the game, Lab Rat‘s humour will certainly elevate the puzzle game to another level. We’re keen to see how this evolves into the full experience.
