One Lonely Outpost is a twist on the traditional farming simulator, as it’s set in space. Starting out on a barren planet with your ancient space-RV, handy tech gauntlet, a handful of potato seeds, the aim is to work hard to build your colony. It’s coming to Steam Early Access in 2022 with a release across Nintendo Switch, Xbox & PlayStation platforms later.

From Aurorian Studios, One Lonely Outpost has you growing crops to attract colonists, build a town and a successful economy, to achieve independence. You might even be able to establish your colony as a prime destination for traders and holiday makers.

There’s a number of ways to approach the game, whether that be a traditional farming approach or by opting for an all-out high-tech one. There’ll need to be a balance of producing food as well as the exploration of the planet to learn more about this strange world. It’s not all hard work mind as there are various mini-games to enjoy as well as interacting with the new colonists.

We’re looking forward to the Game Boy Advance style graphics and the number of different ways you can approach managing your colony. It looks like a game we can keep coming back to.

One Lonely Outpost is scheduled for a 2022 launch across PC and consoles. You can wishlist the game on Steam here.
