The trouble with video games, is simply there are a lot of them. Sadly some slip through the net and we miss the releases of games but with gamescom, we’re looking to rectify that as much as possible. Vesper released at the end of July for PC and we think it still warrants talking about.

Small indie developer Cordens Interactive presents their first game, Vesper. This is a 2D adventure game where a small android crosses a fallen world. It is quickly set upon by machines, attracted by light who try to pick our cute android to pieces. To progress through this abandoned world, the android has to absorb light from various sources, creating dark points in which to hide.

Vesper employs puzzles, such as overloading machines with light to activate switches and traps, as well as using their abilities to overcome obstacles. After the adventure ends, a second run through will show you the effect the android had on the world.

Considering this is Cordens Interactive’s first game, Vesper looks stunning and an intriguing game. We’re gutted that we missed the boat leading up to the release to shout about it!

Vesper is available now on Steam. Check out their game page where a demo is also available.
